This week, do not rush past this.
There are things in your life that feel larger than you.
Pressures you cannot control.
Situations you cannot fix.
Outcomes you cannot force.
And slowly, without realizing it…
those things begin to feel like they sit above you.
But they do not.
His Name is El Elyon — the Most High God.
The One who is not just present…
but above all.
“For the Lord Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.”
— Psalm 47:2
“The Lord has established His throne in heaven,
and His kingdom rules over all.”
— Psalm 103:19
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
— Psalm 91:1
This is not distant authority.
This is present reality.
God is not competing with what overwhelms you.
He is above it.
Above the uncertainty.
Above the fear.
Above the weight that has been sitting on your chest.
Nothing in your life rises higher than Him.
Not the situation you keep replaying.
Not the pressure you feel to figure everything out.
Not even the parts of your life that feel out of control.
El Elyon has not lost His place.
And you do not have to carry what was never yours to hold.
So, stop here and breathe for a moment.
Release the need to control every outcome.
Release the weight of trying to hold everything together.
You are not above your circumstances…
but He is.
And you are not standing alone beneath them.

Where are you trying to control what you were meant to release?
Prayer
El Elyon,
You are the Most High.
Above every weight, every fear, every unknown.
Forgive me for the ways I have lived
as if my circumstances sit higher than You.
Teach me to release what I was never meant to carry.
Quiet the need in me to control…
and anchor me in the truth that You reign above it all.
Let me rest beneath Your authority,
not strive against it.
Amen.
