This week do not rush past this.

There are moments when things feel unclear.

Not completely dark…

but uncertain.

Direction feels blurred.

Thoughts become difficult to sort through.

And you begin trying to piece things together
on your own.

Searching for clarity.

Trying to make sense of what you’re seeing…
and what you’re not.

But the deeper struggle is not always the situation itself.

It is the lack of light around it.

His Name is the Light of the World.

Not a light you create…

but a light you step into.

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,
‘I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness,
but have the light of life.’”
— John 8:12

Darkness is not always obvious.

Sometimes it looks like confusion.

Uncertainty.

A lack of clarity about what is true.

And in that place,
it is easy to begin relying on your own understanding.

To try to figure things out
based on what you can see.

But the problem is not your effort.

It is the absence of light.

Because when light enters…

everything changes.

What was unclear becomes visible.

What felt confusing begins to settle.

Not because everything is explained…

but because it is revealed.

This is what we often miss.

We try to solve things
that were never meant to be solved in the dark.

We strain to understand
instead of stepping into the light
that has already been given.

Jesus does not ask you
to create clarity.

He invites you
to follow Him.

And in following Him…

you begin to see.

Not all at once.

But enough for the step you are in.

So, stop here and breathe for a moment.

Where does life feel unclear right now?

Where have you been trying
to figure things out on your own?

You are not meant to walk in confusion.

You are meant to walk in light.

And He is already present.

Reflect

Where in your life do you feel uncertain or unclear?

What would it look like to follow Jesus in that place instead of trying to figure it out alone?

Prayer

Jesus, Light of the World,

You are the clarity I have been searching for.

Not something I create…

but something I receive in You.

Forgive me for the ways I have tried
to figure everything out in my own understanding.

For the places I have stayed in confusion
instead of stepping into Your light.

Lead me.

Illuminate what I cannot see.

Bring clarity where things feel uncertain.

And teach me to follow You…

not needing to know everything,

but trusting what You reveal.

You are the light.

And I will walk with You here.

Amen.
