This week; do not rush past this.
There are moments in life when you simply want to know what to do next.
Which direction to take.
Which decision is right.
Whether you are moving toward something…
or away from it.
And in that place,
it is easy to become consumed
with trying to find the path.
Searching for certainty.
Looking for signs.
Trying to map out the future
before you take the next step.
But what if direction was never meant to begin with a path?
What if it begins with a Person?
His Name is The Way.
Not merely One who points toward truth…
but the path itself.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
— John 14:6
Jesus did not say,
“I will show you a way.”
He said,
“I am the way.”
This changes everything.
Because it means direction is not ultimately found
in perfect understanding.
Not in having every answer ahead of time.
Not in controlling the outcome.
Direction is found
in staying near to Him.
This is what we often struggle to trust.
We want the full map.
We want certainty before movement.
We want clarity without dependence.
But Jesus does not invite you
to walk independently of Him.
He invites you to walk with Him.
And in walking with Him,
direction unfolds.
Step by step.
Moment by moment.
Not always with full visibility…
but always with His presence.
Because the goal was never simply
reaching the destination.
The goal has always been
remaining with Him along the way.
So, stop here and breathe for a moment.
Where are you searching for certainty right now?
Where have you been trying
to force clarity about the future?
You do not need to have everything figured out
before you move forward.
You need to stay close to the One
who is already the Way.
Reflect
Where in your life are you searching for direction?
What would change if you focused more on walking with Jesus than figuring everything out ahead of time?
Prayer
Jesus,
You are the Way.
Not just someone who gives direction…
but the path itself.
Forgive me for the ways I have chased certainty
more than closeness with You.
For the pressure I have placed on myself
to figure everything out ahead of time.
Teach me to walk with You.
To trust You one step at a time.
To follow Your presence
even when I cannot yet see the full path ahead.
Keep my heart near to You.
And remind me
that true direction is not found apart from You.
You are the Way.
And I will follow You here.
Amen.
