This week, do not rush past this.
There are places in your life where need feels real.
Not theoretical.
Not distant.
Immediate.
Tangible.
And in those places…
it is easy to begin measuring everything by what you can see.
What you have.
What you lack.
What might happen if something doesn’t come through.
And quietly, without realizing it…
fear begins to take the place of trust.
But God has already revealed something about Himself in that place.
His Name is Jehovah Jireh (Yahweh Jireh) — The Lord Will Provide.
Not the God who might provide.
Not the God who sometimes provides.
The Lord who will.
“And Abraham called the name of the place,
The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day,
‘In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.’”
— Genesis 22:14
Abraham did not stand on that mountain with full understanding.
He did not see the provision ahead of time.
He walked forward…
with what must have felt like unbearable weight.
And yet—
provision was already there.
Not late.
Not missing.
Waiting.
This is what we often miss.
God’s provision is not always visible at the beginning.
It is revealed in the place of obedience.
In the step forward.
In the moment where trust is chosen
before outcomes are seen.
And this is where the tension lives for you.
You want to see before you move.
You want clarity before surrender.
You want assurance before trust.
But Jehovah Jireh does not always work that way.
He invites you to walk…
and then reveals that He has already made a way.
So, stop here and breathe for a moment.
What are you holding tightly because you cannot yet see how it will work out?
What fear has begun to shape your thinking?
You are not standing in a place of lack.
You are standing in a place
where provision has not yet been revealed.
And there is a difference.
Reflect
Where in your life are you struggling to trust God’s provision?
What would it look like to take a step forward before you see the outcome?
Prayer
Jehovah Jireh,
You are the God who provides—
not sometimes, but faithfully.
Forgive me for the ways I have allowed fear
to replace trust in my heart.
For the times I have measured my situation
only by what I can see.
Teach me to trust You
before provision is visible.
Give me the courage to walk forward
even when I do not understand.
And remind me
that You are already in the place I am heading.
Providing.
Preparing.
Making a way.
Amen.
If you need a place to meet Him in your need this week…
