This week; do not rush past this.

Growth can feel slower than you expected.

You begin walking with God…
and yet certain struggles remain.

Certain patterns still surface.

Certain weaknesses still reveal themselves
in ways that frustrate you.

And quietly, over time…
discouragement begins to whisper:

“Why am I still struggling with this?”

“Shouldn’t I be further along by now?”

But what if transformation was never meant
to happen instantly?

What if God is doing something deeper
than quick behavior change?

His Name is Yahweh Mekoddishkem — The Lord Who Sanctifies.

Not the One who merely improves you…

but the One who is shaping you into holiness.

“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying:
‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep,
for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations,
that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.’”
— Exodus 31:13

Sanctification is not instant perfection.

It is ongoing transformation.

God steadily shaping what has been surrendered to Him.

This is what we often misunderstand.

We expect change to happen all at once.

We expect old struggles to disappear immediately.

And when growth feels slow…

we begin questioning whether God is working at all.

But Yahweh Mekoddishkem is not absent
simply because transformation is unfolding gradually.

He is patient in His work.

Intentional.

Thorough.

He is not only concerned
with your outward behavior.

He is reaching into motivations.

Desires.

Thought patterns.

The deeper places where true change begins.

And because that work reaches so deeply…

it often takes longer than you hoped.

But do not confuse slow growth
with no growth.

The Lord who sanctifies you
is still shaping you.

Still refining what has been surrendered.

Still forming Christ within you.

So, stop here and breathe for a moment.

Where have you become discouraged
in your growth?

Where have you expected instant transformation
instead of trusting God’s process?

You are not abandoned in your struggle.

You are being sanctified.

And the One shaping you
has not stopped working.

Reflect

Where in your life have you become discouraged with your growth?

What would change if you trusted that God is still shaping you, even slowly?

Prayer

Yahweh Mekoddishkem,

You are the Lord who sanctifies me.

Not just outwardly…
but deeply within.

Forgive me for the ways I have grown impatient
with the process of transformation.

For the discouragement I have allowed
to speak louder than Your faithfulness.

Teach me to trust Your work in me.

Even when growth feels slow.

Even when I still see weakness and struggle.

Continue shaping my heart.

Refine what does not reflect You.

Form Christ within me more deeply.

And remind me
that You are still working…
even in places where I cannot yet see the full change.

You are sanctifying me.

And I will trust You here.

Amen.

If you need a place to slow down and trust His work within you this week…
