This week; do not rush past this.
There are moments in your life where direction feels unclear.
Decisions sit in front of you.
Questions linger without answers.
And quietly, a pressure begins to build…
to figure it out,
to choose quickly,
to make the right move before something slips away.
And in that place…
it can feel like everything depends on you.
But it doesn’t.
His Name is Yahweh Raah — The Lord My Shepherd.
The One who does not leave you to find your own way…
but leads you.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
— Psalm 23:1
“He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul.”
— Psalm 23:2–3
“Even though I walk through the valley…
I will fear no evil;
for You are with me.”
— Psalm 23:4
A shepherd does not rush the sheep.
He does not abandon them to figure things out on their own.
He leads.
Step by step.
Through open fields…
and through valleys that feel uncertain.
This is what we often forget.
You were never meant to navigate life
by your own understanding alone.
You were meant to follow.
But following requires something that does not come naturally.
Slowing down.
Listening.
Trusting direction before you see the full path.
And that is where the tension lives for you.
You want clarity all at once.
You want certainty before movement.
But Yahweh Raah does not reveal everything at once.
He leads you in steps.
And in each step…
He is present.
So, stop here and breathe for a moment.
You do not have to have everything figured out today.
You do not have to force direction
where God is already leading.
You are not wandering.
You are being led.
Reflect
Where in your life are you trying to force direction?
What would it look like to trust that God is leading you, even one step at a time?
Prayer
Yahweh Raah,
You are my Shepherd.
You do not leave me to find my own way.
Forgive me for the ways I have tried
to control direction in my life.
For the pressure I have placed on myself
to figure everything out.
Teach me to follow You.
To slow down enough to hear Your leading.
To trust You even when I cannot see the full path ahead.
Lead me beside still waters.
Restore what feels weary within me.
And remind me
that I am never walking alone.
Amen.
If you need a place to walk with Him one step at a time this week…
